Stevia Leaves (Dried)

Refined sugar is incredibly harmful and for this reason, people are looking for healthy alternatives. There are many low-calorie sweeteners on the market, but most of them are artificial. However, there are a few natural sweeteners out there that taste just as good. One of these is stevia, a sweetener that has become immensely popular in recent years.

It is a sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the plant Stevia. The active compounds of stevia are steviol glycosides (mainly stevioside and rebaudioside), which have up to 150 times the sweetness of sugar. They  are heat-stable, pH-stable, and not fermentable. These steviosides have a negligible effect on blood glucose, which makes stevia attractive to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.

*An excellent diabetic aid

*A no-carb, no-calorie substitute

*Lowers blood pressure

*Has antibacterial properties

*Aids in calcium formation

*Prevents tooth decay and checks oral infection

Recommended Usage:

Use Stevia like sugar, to add natural sweetness to your hot or cold beverages, sprinkle on your favorite fruits and use in recipes.  It can also be used in appetizers, soups, salads and vegetables, breads and rolls, casseroles, pies and pastries.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

it is pricy, but oh, it is so good, adding so much to my herbal tea when I need it sweetened. And today, I ground up a handful and added it to my green burger batter, and the baked burgers are so delicious with the stevia leaf. I had been using honey. This is so much better.

    Adv. Vikramsingh R. Thakur,

With the first bag I purchased of dried stevia leaves from this company most of the dried leaves were very green. This was great and just what I was looking for. I purchased a second bag a few months later and the leaves were not as good. Many of the leaves were brownish or partly brown, and more crumbly with leaves full of tiny holes. This indicates to mean that the drying process may have been rushed and dried at too high of a temperature. I think this company would do well to keep the quality of their product as high as possible. Don’t cut corners and dry the leaves too fast or at too high a temperature.

Good. Life saver to one who doesn’t eat anything sweet not even fruits. It’s a refreshing delightful flavor in teas. Plus lots of health benefits.
