- Berseem / Egyptian clover (Trifolium alexandrinum) is “King of Fodder crops”, one of the most important leguminous annual fodder.
- Seed requires 8-10 Kgs/acre. Its give 5-7 cuts in a year during winter, spring and early summer seasons.
- Fodder yield potential is very high. Average green fodder yield is 16-17 t/acre. First harvests to be done on 50-60 days after sowing, subsequent harvest are 30-35 days once.
- It improving milk production of Cow & Buffalo and gaining body weight for Goat, Sheep, Rabbit, Horse & some of Poultries.
- Nutrition of green fodder contains 17-22% of Crude Protein & 25.9% of Fiber. It use for Pasture / Free grazing, Green fodder, Hay / Straw, Silage & Green Manure (having high Nitrogen fixation).
